JCCC Theatre Poster Concept
When designing my concept for the JCCC Theatre Program's production of Inspecting Carol, I worked with the understanding that this show was going to be 80s to the max. The play itself is kind of chaotic: a show (A Christmas Carol) within a show, featuring a cast that is highly dysfunctional and each individual is distinctly self-important. Because the director intended to set it in the 80s, I pulled characteristics indicative of that time into an otherwise predictable illustration of Scrooge and Tiny Tim. In a tragic twist, the department ended up navigating away from the intense 80s theme, so this direction wasn't used for the promotion of the fall production. Even still, the submission was a big hit among those who happened to see it.
